앱 이전을 완료한 후, 더 이상 쓰지 않는 Play Console 개발자 계정을 삭제하기 위해서, 앱 이전 확인 메일에 답장하여 기존 계정을 취소 요청하였다. 몇 분 지나지 않아서 답장이 왔다. 곧 US$25.00의 금액이 환급될 거라고 한다.
삭제 요청하기 전에 할 일

내 Play Console 개발자 계정이 두 개라서 안 쓰는 계정을 없애려고 한다. 앱은 이미 모두 이전했다 (다른 개발자 계정으로 앱 이전했다 @Play Console). 삭제 요청을 어떻게 하는 건지 알아보니 아래의 내용이 나온다.
개발자 계정 삭제
앱을 게시하지 않은 경우
앱을 한 번도 게시하지 않은 상태에서 개발자 계정을 삭제하거나 앱을 다른 계정으로 모두 이전하려면 Google 지원팀에 문의하시기 바랍니다. Google 계정을 삭제해도 개발자 계정이 자동으로 삭제되지 않습니다.
앱을 게시한 경우
개발자 계정으로 앱을 게시한 적이 있는데 계정을 삭제하려는 경우 다음 작업을 완료해야 합니다.
1. 계정 삭제를 요청하기 전에 원래 계정에 로그인하여 정보를 백업하거나 다운로드합니다. Play Console 계정을 삭제하면 더 이상 사용할 수 없게 됩니다.
2. Google 지원팀에 다른 계정으로의 앱 이전을 요청합니다.
3. 앱 이전 확인 메일에 답장하여 기존 계정을 취소합니다.
참고:
새 계정에서 동일한 개발자 이름을 사용하려면 기존 계정의 개발자 이름을 다른 이름으로 변경해야 합니다. 동일한 개발자 이름은 사용할 수 없습니다.
Google 계정을 삭제해도 개발자 계정이 자동으로 삭제되지 않습니다.

즉, 어디 링크를 클릭해서 삭제 요청하는 게 아니라 ‘앱 이전 확인 메일’에 답장하는 방식으로 요청하라는 말이다.

나는 다음과 같이 답장을 보냈다. 아래의 예제에 있는 이메일 주소 abc@gmail.com 는 내가 지어낸 거다. 홍길동도 지어낸 거다. 답장의 제목을 고쳐서 내가 새로 지은 제목을 넣어줬다 (gmail > 답장 > 왼쪽 위 드롭다운 메뉴 > 제목 수정):

Play Console 에 기존 개발자 계정으로 로그인을 시도하자, 더 이상 개발자 계정이 보이지 않고, 새 개발자 계정 생성 화면이 나타났다. 기존 개발자 계정 삭제 완료되었다.

카카오뱅크에서 알림톡이 날아왔다. 내가 지난 6월에 개발자 계정 만들 때 결제하느라고 썼던 체크카드에 카카오뱅크 계좌가 연결돼 있다.
